Global EI OpenHack 2026 by LTTS Brings Together 770+ Teams to Solve Engineering Challenges

Bengaluru: EI OpenHack 2026, the global innovation challenge organized by L&T Technology Services (LTTS), concluded successfully after bringing together nearly 4,000 engineers from nine locations across India, the United States and Europe to develop AI-native engineering solutions for real-world industrial challenges.

L&T Technology Services (BSE: 540115, NSE: LTTS), a global leader in Engineering Intelligence Solutions and ER&D Consulting Services, organized EI OpenHack 2026 as a first-of-its-kind global hackathon conducted simultaneously across nine locations.

The 24-hour innovation challenge witnessed participation from more than 770 teams representing Bengaluru, Mysuru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Vadodara, Mumbai, Dallas and Munich.

The EI OpenHack 2026 hackathon featured more than 500 challenge statements aligned with the company’s strategic growth priorities.

These challenges covered Software Defined Mobility, Plant Buildout & Modernization, Energy & Automation, Next-Gen Compute & AI Infrastructure, Digital Manufacturing, MedTech, and Software Platforms & AI.

Participants leveraged artificial intelligence and engineering expertise to create AI-powered solutions across industrial automation, cybersecurity, autonomous systems, supply chain intelligence, enterprise optimization, and healthcare.

The objective was to help enterprises reimagine products, operations, and decision-making through innovative engineering solutions.

A jury comprising senior LTTS leaders and technology experts evaluated submissions during EI OpenHack 2026 through multiple rounds.

The entries were assessed based on innovation, technical excellence, scalability, real-world relevance, and effective application of artificial intelligence.

Winning teams received cash prizes worth more than INR 30 lakh. In addition, standout innovations earned opportunities for further development through Project Equinox, an LTTS platform designed to support promising and scalable engineering solutions.

Patent-worthy innovations were also shortlisted for special recognition, enabling participants to transform breakthrough ideas into valuable intellectual property.
